The Talyllyn Railway - Sixty Years of Preservation A new book, published by Silver Link, shows the activities on the TR over the last sixty years. About 250 pictures show the work involved in preserving the TR since 1951. The pictures are orientated to work activities rather than trains in action. Most of the major activities are covered - The Slip, Building the Extension, Rebuilding Wharf, twice,Building Tom Rolt and finally the new boiler on Dolgoch. Carriages & Wagons of the Talyllyn Railway The Narrow Gauge Railway Society has published a book detailing the history of all the current carriages and wagons on the railway. Most are illustrated, many in colour. The mobile engineering plant is also covered as are the museum wagons. This book fills a long felt need, particularly for data on the wagons.
