Series One Land Rover Gathering

A collection of Series One Land Rovers will be gathered in the yard at Tywyn Wharf station. In addition the popular Llechfan Garden railway will be operating model steam trains for your entertainment.
This annual gathering hosts Series One Land Rovers built between 1948 and 1958. There will be some 45 vehicles in the yard for you to peruse and talk to the owners about their vehicles. There will be a complete cross section of models from the ten years of Rover Company production. Hand crafted pottery mugs, individually made for the event, are awarded as much sort-after prizes at the end of the afternoons gathering.
Land Rovers start arriving about 08.30 and are all here by 10.00. They start to leave sometime after 16.00. If you are travelling by road to the Talyllyn you may even spot one!
As well as the display there are seven return train journeys departing throughout the day, Tywyn Wharf station is also home to the Narrow Gauge Railway Museum, King's Licensed Cafe, and the Railway Shop.
There are no extra charges for this event. Normal fares apply, including our "Kids Go for 2 Quid" offer.
