Fares

Adult fares

Day Rover - unlimited travel from any station: £12.50

Individual journey fares are also available.

Children (aged 5-15)

Accompanied by an adult on a Day Rover ticket: £3.00
Otherwise: half adult fare
Under 5: travel FREE

First Class

Travel in First Class luxury for a supplement of £2.00 (adult), £0.50 (child) per single journey.

Senior Citizens

Reduced fares apply.

Disabled Persons

Both the disabled passenger and their carer travel with 20% discount off full fare.

Eight Day Runabout Ticket

Travel as often as you like during any consecutive eight day period. Obtainable at Tywyn Wharf only.

Adults: £36
Children: £6

National Rail Discount

Anyone arriving at Tywyn by National Rail train on the day of travel is entitled to a 20% discount off any full priced ticket.
Please present your valid National Rail ticket when purchasing your Talyllyn Railway ticket.

Group rates

Reduced fares are available for  groups of 15 and over. See party bookings for further information.

Great Little Trains of Wales (GLTW) discount card

A GLTW card entitles the holder to a 20% discount for a return trip on each of the 10 railways that comprise the GLTW (including the Talyllyn Railway) and is valid for 12 months from the date the first journey is made. Cards cost £10 and are available from www.greatlittletrainsofwales.co.uk. They are also available from the Talyllyn Railway booking office either in person or by post to:

Dyfi Valley Days

If you are planing to visit other attractions in the Dyfi Valley as well as the Talyllyn Railway, you can save money with a Dyfi Valley Attractions ticket. For more information see www.dyfivalley.org.uk.

Dogs

Dogs may be conveyed in the compartment with the passenger, provided that the other passengers do not object.

How to Pay

Pay by cash or cheque at any station (pay the Guard if the station is unmanned). In addition, at Tywyn Wharf and Abergynolwyn stations we are able to accept Visa, Mastercard and Switch cards.
